Dia daoibh!
Happy Mother's Day to all the mommy's reading this today. I hope you get treated to something a little special and get to spend some time with the reason you have a day dedicated to you..... your children. My mother is currently enjoying a weekend away so I'll have to treat her when she get's back. Usually my sister's and I organise something for us all to do together. Rather than buying something we prefer to spend time with each-other to celebrate.
For those of you who don't actually know, I have a son Cathal who is 6. I found out I was pregnant at 17 and had him when I was 18. Obviously I was a young mother but found the whole process and journey amazing and was very well able to deal with it. James (Cathal's dad) and I have been together for almost 8 years now and the 3 of us (4 including Bul) are extremely happy. I am so grateful that everything fell into place for us but in saying that, we did work hard to make it that way.
I was treated to breakfast in bed this morning and was smothered in kisses, a card and chocolates by Cathal. I decided to be a bit more feminine today and am wearing more a less all different shades of purple, clothes, make up, nails and jewellery. It's beautiful and sunny here at the moment so I'm writing this as I sit at my front door on my blanket which Cathal layed out for me, while Bulmer tries to get up on my lap as I type!
Hope you're enjoying your long weekend.
