Dia daoibh!

Super quick post today with a handy little tip for Irish ladies shopping on ASOS. As many of you are aware the exchange rate of the £ and € leaves us Irish ladies more out of pocket. I'm sure we've all been in the situation, be it shopping online or in store, where you see the £ sign first and the product seems like a bargain..... until you realise it's the wrong currency :( "I want the £ price!!!!" I heard myself think when I saw the below set for what I thought was €19. Turn's out it's £19 or €27.01. But when converting £ to € it's directly should be about €24.30

Well let me share my little discovery with you.

Dia daoibh!

Just a quick post to let those of you who don't already know about a new Irish Online Beauty Store. They go by the name of Dolledup.ie

Their main aim is to be
" a one stop shop for everything you need to get Dolled-Up!"

For sale, they have Skincare & Bodycare Products, Makeup, Tanning Products, Fragrances for Men & Women, Jewellery, Handbags & Accessories and Quirky Gifts & Ideas. On top of all of this they have included a few unique features to their website including offering free advice through the online 'Ask the Stylist' service and 'Beauty Banter' which is their online beauty forum. The website it just recently up and running so things are still being put together. They are also in the process of getting together a DolledUp Directory of beauty and hair salon services so if you are interested to advertise your business, email info@dolledup.ie

One thing I noticed about the website is that they sell a lot of not so known brands (to me anyway) such as 'Payot' Skincare, 'Royal Effem' Make Up and 'Vita Liberata' Tanning products. So if you're on the hunt for some new brands or products this site might interest you.

In saying that, they're are plenty of well known brands too, a lot of them being more on the high end such as Clarins,  Lancome and Decleor skin and body care along with make up brands like Benefit, Elizabeth Arden, YSL and Essie nail varnishes.

There are a lot more skin and body care products on the website at the moment than makeup, so if you're interested in that it looks good.  They also have a good range of perfumes and mens fragrances also.

They accept the following methods of payment:

Yay..... Irish Laser!! Shipping is a flat charge of €3.49 regardless of value and will be delivered withing 3-5 working days.

I have not bought from the website myself (yet) as I am saving for my trip to Manchester this weekend (eeek) but I just wanted to let you all know about Dolledup.ie, as online beauty stores seem to be proving popular as of late. Happy Shopping!

Psssst.... they're having a giveaway on their Facebook page HERE for two €50 vouchers!
They're also on Twitter if you want to give them a follow.

Have you bought from them yet? Thoughts?

Evening all.

Doorbell rang this morning.... BAM!! My order from Cloud10Beauty had arrived. This is an online beauty store that I recently discovered. They stock familiar and not so familiar (to me anyway) brands on their website for which you can pay by many cards such as Visa, Mastercard.... and guess what!!? Laser!! Yes, finally another cosmetics site that accepts our good aul poor mans Laser/Maestro card!

They sell the Beaut.ie Guide To Gorgeous Book, a book I have myself and highly recommend any beauty lovers to have; brands such as Essie, OPI, Handmade Soap Co. St. Tropez and excitingly enough for us Irish gals they sell Sigma Brushes and Sleek Cosmetics!!

The company is based in Co. Monaghan. Shipping is charged at €3 within Ireland and £2.50 for the UK/NI or free delivery if your order is over €50. Orders are delivered within 3 working days (although I ordered mine late Friday night and it arrived this morning - Monday, so it may even take less!) I just want to point out that my order came packaged very well....in a box! Yay! With some protective Styrofoam nuggets! :)

Also worth pointing out, they allow you to chose 3 free samples when you place your order. Currently on offer are some DuWop, Mama Mio, Jack Black and Nuxe Goodies - All sample sizes of course it's a lovely little extra to be given. Here's my order!

Sleek Pout Paint - Mauve Over - €5.70
Sleek Pout Paint - Minx - €5.70

I have one Pout Paint already which I received from Beauty Emporium - another online Irish beauty site, for €7, but from Cloud10Beauty it was €1.30 cheaper at just €5.70. Nothing like a bit of competition eh!?

Click on the links if you'd like to take a look at the online store, They are on twitter HERE and also on Facebook HERE. I'm looking forward to trying all my bits! Had you heard of Cloud10Beauty before?

UPDATE 13/09/11:         Beauty Emporium now offer the Sleek Pout Paints at the lower price of €5.70 due to an error in communication. I will update again to re-confirm. Looks like Sleek are making money if your purchase directly from their website (not to mention the expensive shipping!!) All hail Beauty Emporium and Cloud10Beauty!! :)
