NYX Lip Lingerie Review, Swatches & Time Test 💋

Today brings yet another exciting day for all you liquid lipstick fans!! A couple of weeks ago I noticed that the NYX Lingerie Collection hit Boots online and I got in there quick to order four shades. Priced at €9.25 they're pocked friendly in comparison to other matte liquid lipsticks out there.

New Beauty Brands to Ireland

So today I'm here to talk beauty brands, non Irish brands that is. A lot of people want what they can't have and this is no exception when it comes to makeup! There were (and still are!) lots of fantastic brands mainly in Canada an the US that were not available here in the Ireland or the UK... until now. Over the past year this has changed and we're now beginning to see some foreign brands creep into the European market.

Many of you know Wet n Wild is one of those brands. It has gradually been introduced into Dunnes Stores across Ireland this month. I shrieked with delight when I first came across it, and like many other beauty bloggers, "had to" pick up a few bits. Below is what I picked up so just let me know if you would like a closer look in the form of a review. Wet n Wild is a very affordable cosmetic brand with an array of nail polishes, eyeshadows, face and lip products. When I say affordable I'm talking prices ranging from just €1.99 for liners, lipsticks and eyeshadows to €6.69 for the larger eyeshadow palettes

Tarte Cosmetics is another brand that will shortly be hitting the UK online market via QVC in March 2014 (which means it will also be available to us Irish folk!) I was thrilled to hear of this news through EssieButton's video >HERE< Tarte are renowned especially for their blush products and Essie herself constantly raves about their selection of award winning Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush range. This is one brand I am exceptionally excited about! NYX is a brand that entered the European market a while back, but again is hugely hyped. Like Wet n Wild, NYX Cosmetics have an array of products starting at very affordable prices. They are quite well known for their Jumbo Eye Pencils along with their variety of Powder Blushes and Mega Shine Lip Glosses. They have begun to release more pricey products such as their HD Studio Powders and matching HD Studio Photogenic Foundation. NYX is currently available in-store from Urban Outfitters and River Island. There's a great selection online from Littlewoods Ireland.

NYX Girls Round Lip Glosses

Hello all!!

So recently I made a purchase on CherryCulture This is basically a website that sells make up (some of which are not widely available here in Ireland). I was delighted to see that there was a sale on NYX Lipglosses! Woo!!

These little fellows below, were down from $3 to $2 each (which is roughly about €1.40... HALLO!!) I was sold. The name of these glosses in particular are the 'NYX Girls Round Lip Gloss'. I ordered 5 and including p&p it came to €15.29/$21.17. It took 8 days in total from day of ordering to day of arriving at my doorstep.

This is the wand (which I always called "dofer applicator" but when I google it not much comes up, am I crazy!!!?.....I have now been told I am indeed crazy, well not really, but the correct word apparently is "Doefoot"... what the hell!!? I always said "dofer"!!! Aaaahaha! Thanks Lorraine!)

About the glosses themselves; the formulation is smooth and definitely not sticky. It has a smell of what I would describe as a mix of Tooti Fruiti and Refresher sweets (same as the Bourjois Effet 3D ones - which I love!) Two of them had some glitter in them. When I saw this I was like "eeeeeek!!". I am NOT a fan of glitter, but when applied the glitter does not show through - don't ask me how or why! Here's the two with glitter. I wouldn't say they are majorly long lasting on the lips but that's not a problem for me because if I am wearing lipgloss I re-apply it throughout the day regardless of whether I need to or not! Lets just put that down to habbit.

And this is the little freebie I got. A Bubble Gum Lip Blam. On first sniff it was indeed Bubblegummy! When I applied it to my lips I definitely got the smell of banana - which oddly enough I am ALLERGIC to and beyond that, absolutly DESPISE! So I won'e be using that again. This is completly personal preference, other wise it's lovely to get a little freebie like this!

So now here are some individual swatches and what they look like on (FYI just wanted to point out that my lips are quite pigmented so when I apply just lipgloss I lightly go over my lips with whatever excess is left over on my foundation brush to give it more of a neutral canvas :)
