Last week Lisa Eldridge uploaded >THIS< video to her YouTube Channel about something very excited indeed. She is the Creative Director of Boots Brand No7 and she shared with her viewers that for the past few years they have been working on something very special. The whole brand has had a huge re-vamp with new products, new packaging, new stands and lots more.
One of THEE most exciting things about this relaunch is the introduction of the No 7 Foundation Match Made Service. This is free service which is available in UK & Irish stores, which will match you to your exact No7 foundation shade. Here's how it works.
The piece of Pantone technology is a small hand made device (as pictured above) which contains 1 UV & 8 LED lights at different angles. Because of this, artificial light in the shop (or anywhere else for that matter, it can even be used in the dark!) will not make a difference as it just focuses on your skin cells. The device is held up to your clean skin on the jawline (if you're wearing makeup they will remove it for you) and is clicked. When this is done it takes a burst of 27 photographs and records the different tones in your skin. This is done on both sides of your face to get an accurate reading. Whether you realise it or not, your skin is not just one block colour; hence the horrendousness that is mis-matched foundation shades on many a lady! It takes about 5 seconds and you do not feel a thing. Bam... that's it. Your colour match will pop up on screen and this is the colour that you are across the whole range. You can then decide which of the 7 finishes of foundation you wish to go for, depending on whether you want something matte, sheer long lasting, moisturising etc. It's as simple as that.
There is currently a 3 for 2 offer across the No7 brand so I highly recommend popping in to have a try. I did and was matched to the colour Cool Vanilla. I chose the following products for myself and I also received a little goodie bag with lots of No7 Serum samples and 4 high end perfume samples, along with my information card.
