St. Ives Apricot Scrub Review

Dia daoibh.

Some people have their "Holy Grail" products. This meaning a product that you can count on and come back to again and again. I don't have many of them, as I like change. I love to try out different products and don't always stick to the same colours, brands etc. When it comes to skincare this changes slightly, as too much change can be overwhelming on skin.

One product however, I would class as one of my few "Holy Grails" and would like to review is St. Ives Apricot Facial Scrub. Now this baby is not for the faint hearted.

It's a SCRUB!! It's will literally scrub the build-up and make up from your face with the aid of it's grainy texture. If you have very sensitive skin I wouldn't particularly recommend this one for you (although they do have and gentle version along with a blemish & blackhead control one which I have not tried)

Here's are the product claims:

Oil-free • Non-irritating • dermatologist-tested • 100% natural exfoliants • 100% natural extracts • Formulated without parabens and phthalates • Made without animal ingredients

This scrub gets down to business pronto! The minute you wet your face and rub the scrub around your face you can feel it working, you can feel it clearing off every scrap of residue on your face. You can slightly alter how much of a thorough cleanse you get depending on how heavy handed you are with the product.

I know there are many who find these type of cleansers/scrubs too harsh, but for me personally I love the feeling of really getting in there and getting a proper clean. I much prefer facial washes with grains rather than just a creamy/gel formulation. I feel like sometimes they just slide around my face and don't actually get into my pores.

It's recommended to use this 3-4 times a week. Again depending on how heavy handed you are or how  sensitive your skin is, this will vary person to person.

It leaves my skin feeling unbelievably clean. My skin also looks amazingly fresh due to the grains scrubbing and almost re-circulating the blood flow.

St. Ives have won numerous awards across many of their facial and body products such as awards from Glamour Magazine, Allure Magazine, Total Beauty.com, Teen Vogue and many more.

Depending on which version of the scrub you buy and where you buy it, it's roughly between €5/€6 and in my opinion; well worth it.
