Morning All.

Here’s what I’m wearing today. Although I am now currently wearing a cardi over this outfit as it was a bit chilly walking to work!! Brrr!!

My dress is from Penneys as is the elasticated leopard brown brown belt.

Leggings are from Dunnes and my boots are from Penneys.

Suede fawn coloured earrings are part of a set from H&M and the Guess watch is a knock off from China Town in New York!

Black skull ring is from a local shop and the 3 diamond ring is from Argos a few years ago.

For my hair I used my "Andrew Barton Making Waves Triple Barrel Hair Waver" (which I adore) and done a little plat at the front. It's a normal black thin bobble I just tied it downwards, rather than the usual all around each other method. Looks kinda cool I think!

On my eyes I just stuck to one colour (Half Baked from the UD Naked Palette) on my lid and under my lower waterline, along with a touch of liner and mascara.

I added a touch of blush (ELF Candid Coral) and a nude lipstick (Inglot 253) and Lipgloss (Catrice Lip Appeal Lip Gloss - Bare Necessity (080)

Evening ladies.

Some of you have already noticed that I am blogging more already and have made some changes to my blog. I feel so happy, I really do. I feel like this is a complete fresh start even though nothing major is after happening!! I just want to share with you a few little changes I made to my blog. Only minor, but here we go!

1. HEADER

So I have kept the overall feel and colour scheme of my blog as I really do love it. The header has the same font but it's larger now and a new stand out colour! I also have a blog slogan "Share your Beauty Bitz!" It's not very apparent in this picture (or indeed on my blog, as I can't seem to enlarge it or change the colour)

2. TABS

I have added some new menu tabs to my blog. I want anyone who reads my blog to be able to see where everything is.

3. POST BACKGROUND

Originally the background behind my text was just the blue/purple/light blog background. I think this is much easier for people to read on a white background. It looks clean and fresh (as weird as that sounds!) Also the right hand side menu/gadgets bar is a nice light blue/lilac colour.

4. TEXT

As you are reading this now you can see that the text is quite solid and easy to read. I originally had a more quirky font "Coming Soon". Although I liked this, I felt as though sometimes it blurred a bit against the blue background, so I decided to change it all together. It is now "Philosopher" which is quite solid with a slight flick. I used a dark grey for the colouring as I didn't want it to be just black and white.

5. SIGNATURE

I made a new signature to sign off each of my posts. I think this is very important, as I want my blog to be completely personal.

6. TOPIC SEPARATION

As I was saying in change 2, I created some new tabs. The first new one is "New Here?". This basically explains all of this to new readers. It explains what my blog is about, the layout of it and what the different name tabs mean. Originally all my posts were in one place, I have now separated them into different topics - beauty, fashion and personal. So if someone is interested in one topic over another, they will immediately know where to look. I'd love if you could actually check that out as it is just what you need to know now about the other tabs HERE "Beauty Bitz" "Fashion Fitz" and "Fitz Bitz"

7. ABOUT ME

I want my blog to come across as personal and approachable. I want people to get to know me and not just listen to me or read! I want interaction, so I hope people will be interested to learn about the person behind the blog. This is a brief description about me and also some pics.

8. BLOGGER AWARDS.

I actually had this already, but I plan on keeping it up to date this time. It's all explained in the TAB why that is.

9. FLOATING TWITTER

I have learned that Twitter more a less, can work hand in hand with Blogger. Because Bloggers default commenting system is horrendous, Twitter is a great way to interact with my blog readers and fellow blogger gals. I thought this was a fun new twitter gadget that leads directly to my account

10.  MORE INTERACTION

This more a less follows up on what I said up there. This is another way for people to keep up with new posts from my blog. Email is a handy way for work (or so I hear... *cough*) Also a new lil Twitter birdie! Adds a bit of colour anyway!!

11. WHAT I'VE BLOGGED ABOUT

A lot of people have this. I had it in cloud form but I much prefer this format. It's easy to read and straight forward if someone is browsing.

12. POPULAR POSTS

This is self explanatory - I just never had it before!

13.RECENT COMMENTS

Quick glance to see who has been commenting. If you see your name you get a prize.......just kidding!! ;)

14. NEW COMMENTING SYSTEM

I mentioned above about Bloggers pathetic commenting system. Well I'm not having any of it anymore! I want to be able to reply to people!! Enter Disqus. You can leave a comment anonymously, via, Disqus if you have it yourself, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo and Open ID. I wish there were a Blogger option but you can leave your link to your website/blog when filling in your details. You can also leave a "reaction" meaning you like or don't like!

15. FAVICON

And last but not least is my FitznBitz Favicon. Basically this means nothing - just that a little logo comes up in the internet browser toolbar . Also if you bookmark my blog this will appear along side it. Nice though, I feel as though this is a real website now and I'm important!! Get bookmarking to see if it works!.....kidding again!

So there you go. I'm excited to be blogging again!!

Hey Ladies.

Do I have a "haul" for you. A Sleek one. If you havent heard of Sleek by now then you're in for an awakening. Here's Sleeks mission statement from their website

This alone sounds good. If someone is finding it hard to find colours to suit their skin tone or indeed style, this is going to draw them in.

Sleek is a UK brand that is also available throughout Europe (not available in the Republic of Ireland though) South Africa, Kenya, Ghana and Nigeria. As far as I can see their main aim it to have something for everyone no matter what skintone.

As I said, Sleek is not available in the Rep. of Ireland (yet! Hopefully this will change), but recently, us beauty/make up loving gals have discovered our saviour. Enter, Beauty Emporium. This fine Irish based online company have delighted many, by stocking quite a good range of Sleek products. All excellently priced, I highly recommend checking them out for Sleek; among many other popular brands such as MAC, Stila, The Balm, Urban Decay and many more.

Also worth pointing out, is that shipping within Ireland is just €2 per order no matter where you are based. They also now deliver to the UK for just €3 and are expanding further.

I made some orders recently to Beauty Emporium and here is what I got.

3 Eyeshadow Palettes and 3 Blushes.

As you can see they kindly add some samples when you make an order. They also include their business card which I think is a great idea and very professional. I love the colour scheme of it! I also want to point of the level of customer service. It truly is refreshing to see such brilliant and friendly communication from the company. They are regularly on twitter and interact with their customers. Stephanie helped me out massively by arranging something that was out of stock to be sent out when it arrived. HERE is their Facebook and HERE is their Twitter

And I have more. If you are a fan of Sleek then be sure to follow them on Facebook HERE Why do I say this you may ask? Well here's why. I entered a comment competition which they hold regularly and I was one of the very VERY lucky winners. Here is what I was sent!!

6 True Colour Lipsticks, A Glisten Me Highlighter, 4 Blushes and A Glo Face & Body Highlighter Palette.
I was mega mega excited. Thanks to Alice if she happens to be reading this, who assured me that the package would get to me, as it was shipped from the UK.

You can be sure that I will be doing more up close posts of all my new babies from Sleek and Beauty Emporium!!

16 August 2011

Hello there.
So here’s my face of make up today (yesterday actually but ya!)

It’s my first time using Sleek eyeshadows and boy am I impressed. I’m a massive lover of shimmer and some Sleek palettes I have, contain some gorgeous shimmery/metallic colours. I felt like going for a dark purple-ish lip today so I used some subtle purple/wineish shades on my eyes. Here’s what I ended up with.

Here is what I used:

MAC Studio Fix Fluid – NW20
Mac Select Cover Up – NW20
Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying Powder – Transparent
Rimmel Natural Bronzer – Sun Glow
Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades – Way To Glow
Sleek Blush – Pomegranate
Sleek Sunset Eyeshadow Palette – (2nd row, 3rd colour on my lid and 1st & 2nd colours mixed into the crease)

Sleek Bad Girl Palette – 1st Colour (Innocence) on my brow bone and inner corner as a highlight.

No7 Amazing Eyes Pencil – 05 Black
Bourjois Coup De Theatre 2en1 Mascara – 51 Noir
Avon Colour Trend Kiss & Go Lipstick – Rich Berry

And hey presto there ya go!! J

Good morning all.

I awoke this morning to a massive bang on the door and two belts of the doorbell. Still in my pj's (obvs like, it was only 8:15!) I opened to find the post man. Not my usual one, but a postman none the less. He was eerily cheery but I forgave him for interrupting my sleep when I saw the ASOS box in his hands. They are currently having their final clearance sale, so with the last few euro I had in my account (*sob*) I decided to get something. Here's what I got. Just two little things, but I was delighted to see that they came in this gorgeous elegant black Asos box.

I have probably mentioned this before, but like many others, I am a complete sucker for packaging. I feel like "sucker" is the wrong word though. I think any delivery to a customer should arrive presentable. If your package comes neatly and nicely, you're automatically going to be impressed and happy before you even see what's inside (presuming that what is inside is just as nice!!)

First item is this gorgeous feather necklace. This was on sale from €12.82 to €3.85. It's still available HERE if you want to have a look. It's also available in a gold version with a coral stone HERE

The second item I bought, is this beauty. As you can see it's a little silver butterfly ring. This was down from €7.69 to just €1.92!!! It's still available (surprisingly) in sizes small and medium HERE Mine is a size small.

I have to say I am more than happy with my less than €6 purchases. Also delivery is free worldwide!! Great start off to my morning!
