NYC Applelicious Glossy Lipbalm Review

Dia daoibh!

Today's post is on the cheap and cheerful side. These three beauties are from NYC and are named Applelicious Glossy Lipbalms. They are priced at a very affordable €2.49 and I tried out the following 3 shades. (5 shades available)

As you can see below, the centre of the balm is an apple shape hence the name, along with the fact that they are apple scented - not very citrusy but more of a candy apple scent which is quite pleasant. The core (get it!!?) of the lipbalm contains the moisturising properties which are Shea Butter, Jojoba and Avocado Oil.

The outside layer is the colour which is nicely pigmented for a balm and a great starter lip product for teens (or whenever young ones start wearing makeup!) That's not to say that these are exclusively for young ones though. I've been carrying a different shade of these in my bag for the past week and have really enjoyed using them. I love the smell, they glide smoothly onto the lips leaving a lovely moisturised, not too sticky feeling.

Big Apple Red and Applelicious Pink both give a lovely daytime-appropriate pink/red finish but I was particularly surprised with Caramel Apple. I was expecting the nude looking colour to be more of  plane Jane non-colour balm but it does have colour payoff - a beautiful purple toned brown nude which I really like.

Here are the 3 colours on my lips.

Overall, another thumbs up from me to NYC :) NYC products are avilable from Penneys, Doc Morris &S am McCauley's  Pharmacies and other selected pharmacies nationwide
